Donation to Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
A plaque was unveiled in the CCHU ward of Stoke Mandeville Hospital in memory of Andy Ward, an outstanding member of our Club.
Andy died in June 2016. He attended the CCHU as a patient and in recognition of the work they do we decided to support the Unit in some way.
On the suggestion of the Unit staff we donated a set of stacking chairs for the use of visitors.

The photo shows Di Ward, Andy's wife, the Unit Supervisor and Lions Mary-Ann Evans and Ron Syratt.

Equipment Boxes for Hospice District nurses

We recently donated a set of equipment boxes to the Hospice District Nurses in acknowledgement of the time, care and assistance they gave to support our member Colin Howlett who died in April 2017.

Seeking New Members at "Live in the Park".

We set up an information board covering our activities at the Aylesbury Vale District Council "Live in the Park" day.
We distributed information leaflets and provided a Duck Race to amuse the children.

We recently donated a gazebo to the British Wheelchair Athletics Association. The photo shows it in use at a July 2016 meeting at the Guttmann Stadium.

We have recently entertained The Monday Club and Contact The Elderly to afternoon tea at a local garden centre.

In March 2016 we joined in the 'Clean for the Queen' campaign. We cleaned a stretch of the bank of the California Brook at the western end of the Bourg Walk Bridge. In one and a half hours we managed to collect nine bags of litter and waste. A fun but messy job.

We are pleased to work closely with the Aylesbury Town Council who have kindly agreed to let us use their Council Chamber for our business meetings.

Each year we have served the refreshments for the Mayor’s Christmas Carol Service.
We have helped at the Oxfordshire County and Thame Show and the Bucks County Show.

We also provide roast chestnuts in Market Square as part of the town's celebrations leading up to Christmas.
